Thanks for the comment. I followed your link and I like the look of Virtualenv Burrito, but I find the last part of README.md to be a bit off putting:

Caveat emptor

This simple script is meant for people who do not have virtualenv installed.

Since I've already installed virtualenv everywhere, now I guess I have to figure out how to remove it. Easy enough on Ubuntu systems where I used the python-virtualenv package, but perhaps a bit harder on system where I easy_install'd virtualenv.

What is the conflict that prevents working with an already installed virtualenv?

A great tool for using more than one virtualenv is Doug Hellman's virtualenvwrapper. It lets you create and switch between different virtualenvs via the command-line.

To help people get started quickly, I made an installer: Virtualenv Burrito sets up virtualenv + virtualenvwrapper in a single command. Officially, v2 gets announced tomorrow, but it's available now. :-)

Enjoy!

I use cgit for a webby front-end to my own git repo (links with and without my "skin"):
 http://www.cantrell.org.uk/david/tech/cgit.tt2?/perlmodules/
 http://www.cantrell.org.uk/cgit/cgit.cgi/perlmodules/

and for syntax highlighting a quick n dirty script I wrote that plugs into it:
 http://www.cantrell.org.uk/david/journal/index.pl/id_cgit-syntax-highlighting

which is trivially expandable to cope with other types of file if and when I care about 'em.

Grammar errors may hurt acceptance. However, the acceptance is still better than never getting it done due to lack of time/energy/attention.

Grammar checking is not fool proof, but I do use it, and I believe it only complained about passive voice.

I started to read the referenced article, but decided I really was not that interested. In anycase, I wonder how well it was accepted considering the significant number of usage and grammar errors it contains.

Mostly, I want you to know that I was reading your blog. And now back to our regularly scheduled program.
